High Blood Pressure is when blood flow through your arteries is higher than it is supposed to be. Additionally, diastolic pressure which is when the heart rests between beats should be less than 80 for you to be. Although, elevated blood pressure is when the systolic reading falls under 120 – 129, and diastolic of under 80. At this point, it is advised to seek assistance from your doctor. - Avoid monosodium glutamate (MSG) which is a flavor enhancer derived from L-glutamic acid, which is naturally present in many foods. Also, this is found in many commercial foods. So, avoid eating out in restaurants, prepare your own food or seek help from someone who can cook for you.
- Stop smoking. Chemicals in tobacco make your arteries tight, which makes blood flow hard, and causes high blood pressure.
- Do not eat meat, chocolate, avocados, aged cheese, unsaturated fat, animal fat, chicken skin, or dairy foods.
- Avoid canned or processed foods, they contain high amounts of sodium.
- Do not eat several hours before bedtime. Avoiding late meals at all costs will help you control your blood pressure level.
- Do not drink alcohol, soft drinks, and softened water.
- Avoid stress, pain, fear, and anger. These factors tend to increase our blood pressure. Also, eliminate sudden or loud noise or music.
